Tiyeni

Tiyeni is empowering smallholder farmers to eradicate poverty and hunger in Malawi and neighbouring African countries, through a climate smart method we have developed called Deep Bed Farming (DBF). We work with communities on the conservation of their natural resources to increase their crops yield, whilst improving nature habitats and processes.

Our method more than doubles crop yields in the first season, quickly reducing food poverty and our catchment management approach conserves water, stops soil erosion, and improves biodiversity. Due to its success and impact our DBF method has now been formally adopted by the Malawian Government.
