Goal 6: Clean water and sanitation
Real people, real partnerships
WaterAid work with local partners to support good hygiene and deliver clean water and toilets.
They have worked with communities in Malawi since 1999; providing 44,000 people with safe water and 105,000 with improved sanitation in the last year alone.
WaterAid are pleased that universal access to water, sanitation and hygiene are at the heart of the Global Goals.
Just one of the thousands of people-to-people partnerships between Scotland and Malawi, working across all 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

How to support Goal 6 - Clean water and sanitation
The UN is asking that every country and every community helps raise awareness of the new Global Goals, and we at The Scotland Malawi Partnership are keen to step up to this challenge, but we can't do it alone - we need your help!
- Download Goal 6 and take a picture of you/friends/work/pet with the sign.
- Ask your partner/friends in Malawi to take a picture with the same Goal sign.
- Tweet us @ScotlandMalawi with your picture using #Goal6 or email us your picture and we'll tweet for you!
- Write to your local MP to tell them about your Malawi link and ask for their support to help achieve Goal 6.
