MaSP hosted the fourth Malawi-Scotland Symposium on Friday 5th February for Malawi grant partners of Scottish Government funded projects.

Food Security in Malawi3 Feb 2016
We continue to be seriously concerned about the evolving food security situation in Malawi, with many of our friends and partners in Malawi facing serious food shortages in the coming months. It is estimated 2.8 million Malawians will be affected.

Public Reform in Malawi3 Feb 2016
On the 25th January the SMP met with the visiting joint delegation from Malawi Parliamentary Committee on Government Assurances and Public Sector Reforms, and the Malawi Government’s Directorate for Public Sector Reforms. This joint study visit was hastily re-scheduled after having previously been cancelled in November 2015.

Rose Chibambo, 1928 - 201613 Jan 2016
Rose Lomathinda Chibambo, Malawi’s first female Cabinet Minister at independence, died at Mwaiwathu Private Hospital in Blantyre in the early hours of Tuesday 12th January 2016.
