Book Bus

Our vision is to ensure all children develop literacy skills for lifelong development. We do this by bringing relevant books to children in poor rural communities in Malawi (in addition to Zambia and Ecuador). We visit a number of schools with our mobile library packed full of books, arts and crafts and other literacy materials. We work with small groups of children and bring stories alive through songs, plays and arts& crafts. We work with volunteers who come and join us for a minimum of two weeks, up to 3 months. We also work with Teachers from the UK and have programmes of skills exchange to help develop the teaching skills of Malawian teachers
