The Raven Trust

The Raven Trust supports the development of eye healthcare services in northern Malawi, mainly at Ekwendeni, Livingstonia and Embangweni mission hospitals, through providing medical equipment, funding clinical training and sharing expertise.

Each mission hospital now has its own dedicated eye clinic providing optical services, and two additionally provide surgical services. All have recently implemented community eye health schemes, including health education and screening programmes.

The Trust also supports a growing number of government clinics in the region as well as ophthalmic training institutions at Lilongwe and Mzuzu.

The Raven Trust is led and run entirely by volunteers.
