Susan Dalgety

I have been working in Malawi since 2005, mostly on governance projects for the Active Learning Centre and the Women’s Legal Resources Centre.
I recently wrote a book about the country. The Spirit of Malawi is a contemporary portrait of Malawi, told through the voices of its people, from Vice President Chilima to a traditional midwife. It’s published by Luath Press.
I am a trustee of the Scotland Malawi Partnership as well as an advisor to the McConnell International Foundation and a trustee of 500 miles.
I visit Malawi at least once a year and have many good friends there now, so very happy to share tips on Malawi life and culture.
