SMP Announce Youth and Schools Resource Development Commission

01 October 2021

Engagement with Youth and schools is a vital part of SMP and we are lucky to have a talented and experienced Youth & Schools Officer in Luisa Brown and an active, inspiring Youth Committee. We remain in a uniquely difficult period for schools but also one of new opportunities for different sorts of engagement and we are keen to do all we can to support new and existing partnerships.

We now have a fixed-term opportunity (October ‘21 – end February ’22) to produce tangible and inspirational resources for schools which align with the Scottish curriculum. Essential criteria: proven recent experience of developing engaging educational materials; a working knowledge of the Scottish curriculum and the contemporary needs and priorities of teachers in Scotland; knowledge of Malawi and the relationship between Scotland and Malawi; an existing, legal right to work in Scotland and be based there.

This is a rolling recruitment process, and the commission will be awarded as soon as we are fully satisfied that we have found a suitable practitioner. Please email stuart@scotland-malawipartnership.org a max one-page outline of why you feel you meet the brief, with links to your previous work as soon as possible.
