The Malawi Scotland Partnership shared the below with us...
The official launch of the Nyengo Isasinthe video took place on the 25th of January. The video has been launched with our partners the 2050 Climate Group. The theme song is part of our climate change awareness and advocacy campaign for the Malawi Young Leaders’ Climate Change Project.
The song’s launch, which was virtual, attracted various climate change stakeholders including representatives from the environmental affairs department, 2050 Climate Group, National Youth Network on Climate Change and several other participants from America, United Kingdom and other parts of the World.
In her remarks, our Programmes Manager, Linda Dembo, said the song could not be more timely as Malawi gears up for the forthcoming Conference of Parties (COP26) which will take place this November in Glasgow, United Kingdom, she also asked that the song be shared widely to encourage people to take pro-climate actions and initiatives.
Also speaking during the same event, Dominic Nyasulu from National Youth Network on Climate Change emphasized the need to invest in various youths talents in order to effectively put across messages of reducing climate change.
