Victoria Williamson - CharChar Literacy Communications Manager

I'm a Scottish children's author and former teacher who spent four years in Africa with VSO, two of which were spent training primary school teachers in mathematics education at Blantyre Teacher Training College in Malawi.

CharChar Literacy runs a transformative teacher training programme in Malawi, which over the 2017-2018 and 208-2019 academic years has improved children's literacy outcomes by over 430% in one year. Post Covid, we are working to expand our programme, training more teachers in innovative, child-centred teaching techniques to catalyse change in teaching and learning, and helping to boost the literacy and numeracy skills of the next generation.
