Smileawi

We run a charity called Smileawi , charity number SC046434 which was set up to help improve dental services in Northern Malawi. Our registered address is in Dundee but we are based in Dunoon where we run The Hollies Dental practice. We visit Malawi every year with groups of self funded dental professionals and provide free pain clinics to the rural populations. We support the underfunded dental therapists who we have met in Northern Malawi by providing them with equipment, materials and tools whenever we can and run an annual conference to bring them together for an educational meeting. We help fund training for new dental therapists. We promote oral health through prevention and education at our clinics and in schools. We are proud to be linked with Professor Jeremy Bagg of Glasgow University and The Maldent project, Dentaid and Bridge to Aid and feel that together we can have an impact on the dental services and the oral health of Malawi.
