Alayna Imlah

I am undertaking a PhD at Glasgow University funded by the ESRC, in collaboration with the Scottish Government. It will be looking at the networks and projects between Scotland and Malawi and anylyzing these networks from a spatial perspective and a development perspective, Fieldwork will include interviews and participant observation in Soctland and Malawi, as well as spending time with the SMP and MSP (if agreed) and using particular SG funded projects as case studies to explore relationships and impacts in depth. The outcome will be an acedemic thesis that contributes to the literature on international development and social geography as well as policy papers for the SG and potentially for other interested organisations/NGOs, such as the SMP if this would be useful
