Vera Kamtukule starts as MaSP Chief Executive

We are delighted to welcome Mrs Vera Kamtukule into post as the Chief Executive of our sister network in Malawi, the Malawi Scotland Partnership (MaSP).

We are delighted to welcome Mrs Vera Kamtukule into post as the Chief Executive of our sister network in Malawi, the Malawi Scotland Partnership (MaSP).

This is a new post for MaSP, responsible for the leadership of the MaSP Secretariat and responsible for the strategic development of the network.

Vera Kamtukule brings a wealth of experience, expertise and enthusiasm to this important post. She is an accomplished development planner in Malawi with more than 12 years’ experience in senior programme management obtained from working with central and local government, local and international NGOs, and public and private sector organisations in Malawi and Africa.

Vera has experience in designing and implementing development projects in both rural and urban settings across Malawi. She has skills in policy analysis, budgeting and planning, and has substantial experience in strategic planning.

A mother of two, Vera also established Patch Malawi, a social enterprise that champions the rights of young people in society and shapes them into productive citizens of the Malawi nation.

She has a Master of Science Degree in Strategic Management obtained from the University of Derby, a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Humanities) from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College, a Professional Diploma in Marketing (CIM) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Land Management and Informal Settlement Regularization obtained from Erasmus University in The Netherlands.

As the new Chief Executive for the Malawi Scotland Partnership, Vera looks forward to the enhancement of coordination efforts between Malawi and Scotland, building the capacity of civil society organisations and enhancing their effectiveness at the same time.

We welcome Vera into this new post and look forward to working closely with her as we further strengthen the work of our two networks.
