The SMP is pleased to announce the launch of our very first School Partnership Awards!

The SMP is pleased to announce the launch of our very first School Partnership Awards!

The awards, in partnership with the David Livingstone Birthplace Project and supported by the Year of Young People National Lottery Fund, aim to celebrate the variety of school partnerships held between Scotland and Malawi.

The awards will be judged by our Youth Committee – ten young people from across Scotland with a link to Malawi.

The Youth Committee is looking for entries that tell the story of a partnership, where it has come from and where it is going in the future.

Entries can be as creative as you like – a storybook, a video, even a mood board or collage – highlighting how you work with your partner(s) in Malawi.

The Youth Committee want to encourage as many young people as possible to take part from across Scotland and the awards are open to all schools/settings.

Entries should be made in partnership with your links in Malawi and should take special consideration of the Partnership Principle of Sustainability.

Award winners will be announced with a very special guest at a ceremony on Thursday, December 5 so keep the date free in your diary to attend!

All winners will receive copies of professional photos taken on the day as well as a certificate for Scottish and Malawian partners with the kind support of our sister organisation, the Malawi Scotland Partnership.
