SMP @20 Anniversary Book Launched

We were honoured to have as Guest of Honour at the launch SMP Honorary Patron, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, who had written a special introductory message in the book. We were also honoured by the presence of: Malawi's High Commissioner to the UK, H.E Dr Thomas Bisika; Deputy High Commissioner, Justice Agnes Patemba and Honorary Consul in Scotland, Dr Peter West.

The book brings together powerful case studies and personal stories from across our vibrant network, showcasing the depth and diversity of people-to-people partnerships between Scotland and Malawi. Rooted in mutual respect, shared learning, and genuine connection, these stories highlight a unique, bottom‑up model of international cooperation that continues to inspire and endure.

This publication also reflects on the origins of the partnership and the many relationships that continue to flourish today. Through storytelling, it celebrates the vital convening role that the SMP has been privileged to play over the past two decades.
