Scottish Water launches the Munro Challenge to support Water Aid Scotland in Malawi

13 January 2020

Scottish Water and Water Aid Scotland launch the 25th Munro Challenge: an attempt to climb all of Scotland's Munros on 6 June 2020 in support of Malawian communities.

Join Scottish Water and Water Aid Scotland for the 25th anniversary event of WaterAid's Munro Challenge, in what promises to be a challenging but immensely enjoyable day out.

The purpose of the challenge is to ultimately raise money to bring lean water, decent toilets and good hygiene to communities in Malawi.

A series of hills, Scotland's 282 Munros (so named after Sir Hugh Munro, who first documented them all) are over 3,000 feet high and scattered across 12 regions of Scotland.

Hundreds will be out on the hills, climbing the munros on the 6 June 2020. All you need is to assemble your team of 4-7 people, pick your summit challenge and register.

Sign up today for the challenge and find out where your nearest munro is here.
