6th International Annual Conference – Call for Abstracts/Papers
Conference Theme: Enterprise Innovation and Structural Transformation of Africa in a Post-Covid ERA
We are pleased to invite you to our 6th annual CAREED conference which will take place at the University of the West of Scotland, Paisley Campus, Paisley, Scotland on Thursday (pm) 18th and Friday(am) 19th November 2021.
Our 6th annual conference 2021 will be hybrid. Information on university grounds in-person, physical presence will follow, as protocols are currently being finalised. Empirical and Conceptual papers are invited. We also encourage doctoral students and early career researchers to submit abstracts and/or researcher idea for full or poster presentations.
We welcome research papers that examine key trends in Enterprise and African Economic Development in Africa. The scope of Enterprise and Economic Development in Africa is wide.
In that context, our conference intends to cover the following areas:
- Business and Enterprise
- Commodity trading and Global Value Chain
- The rural economy
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- Corporate Governance and Social Responsibility
- Gender Enterprise
- Sustainability Issues and Environmental regulations
- International Exporting
- Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs)
- Corruption and impact on Economic Development
- Sustainable Issues and Training
- Influence of Culture, Tradition and Media on Economic Development
Submission forms and further details are contained in the documents linked below. We shall particularly value papers on methodological empirical data with innovative impact.
Deadline for Abstract: No later than Wednesday 10 September 2021. Intending participants should please send their abstracts to the Conference Committee by email to: careedconference@uws.ac.uk

Full rate (For external participants) = 100.00 GBP
Internal Charges (For UWS Staff) = 50.00 GBP
PhD Students (Internal and external) = 20 GBP
