200 organisations and individuals with Malawi links joined us for our 2017 AGM on Saturday 30 September at Stewart's Melville College in Edinburgh.
We also had almost half a million twitter impressions, raising awareness of Scotland-Malawi links across a further 86,000 people.
This year we looked at what good partnership really means, with inspiring video case studies from across the membership as well as from our partners in Malawi.
We had live Malawian music from the fantastic Davie Luhanga (aka Street Rat), Malawian coffee and snacks, and of course, served traditional Malawi Gin and Tonics at the end of the event!
We had lots of amazing prizes which we gave away throughout the day from our friends at: Ethiopian Airlines, Ngala Beach Lodge, Mvuu Lodge, Chelinda Lodge, Kumbali Lodge and Luwawa Forest Lodge, Kayak Africa, the Responsible Safari Company and Kiboko safaris.
We also announced the winners of our 2017 Members Awards, heard from our partners at MaSP, and listened to young Scots just back from their first trip to Malawi.
Check out our AGM video below!
What is PARTNERSHIP? We asked our friends in Scotland and Malawi what partnership means to them...
We were so pleased to welcome MaSP's new CEO, Vera Kamtukule to our AGM.
Vera made her grand entrance in style...
