The Scotland Malawi Partnership is currently working to update its Directory of Further and Higher Education Malawi Links and invite all those involved in Malawi links, across all Scotland universities and colleges, to submit updated details for this directory.

At the 29th November Further and Higher Education Forum meeting an 18-month action plan was agreed, which included updating the updating of this key directory.

This Directory was last updated in 2015 and has been in regular use by organisations and funders across Malawi and Scotland since then.  We have had specific requests from universities, key stakeholders, and major funders to update this publication to help coordinate efforts, share learning and explore new collaborations.

As in 2015, where possible, we encourage every Scottish university and college to have one lead ‘Malawi Champion’ responsible for establishing contact with all Malawi links within their institution, completing the Further and Higher Education Directory of Scotland-Malawi links form and emailing to Stuart Brown by 31st May 2019.

You can add as many ‘Project’ sections as you wish to this document.

While the final detail is 31st May, it is useful to know as early as possible who is coordinating for each university, so we are sure every Scottish university is engaged in the process.

When submitting your completed form, please also email any photos you are happy we use in the report.  We are keen for it to be another colourful and engaging document, so value any/all images you have. Please make clear which photo relates to which project, where appropriate, and make explicit how you would like the photo attributed/credited.

While we will have a small print run of hard copies, we suspect many will use the Directory online, so please do include hyperlinks to key documents and details in your text.  Feel free to include links to videos which we can then embed directly into the electronic report if you wish.

All information submitted in this form (unless explicitly stated you wish private) will be included in the SMP’s update Directory and also on the Member webpage of that university on the SMP’s national online directory of Scotland-Malawi links.  This is in keeping with the SMP’s Privacy Policy.

Do email Stuart Brown or phone on 0131 529 3164 if useful to chat this through, or if there is any support we can offer as you collate this information.
