Safeguarding Question Time at the Gathering

18 January 2019

Scotland's International Development Alliance will host 'Safeguarding Question Time', on Thursday 21st February from 1.30 - 2.30 pm at SCVO's annual 'The Gathering' at SECC Glasgow.

Scotland’s International Development Alliance will host a “Safeguarding Question Time” next month at SCVO’s annual ‘The Gathering’ at SECC Glasgow.

At the Safeguarding Summit held in London on 18th October, DFID pledged to establish a Resource and Support Hub for safeguarding. This will particularly be geared towards smaller organisations and therefore invaluable to many Scotland-based organisations working overseas.

During the session next month, DFID will share updates and proposals for the Resource and Support Hub. There will be an opportunity to hear about progress but there will also be an opportunity to feed in ideas and suggestions.

There also be a Question Time and panel discussion at the session, which will include the Scottish Government (International Development), OSCR and the Alliance, as well as DFID.

You can register for the event on the SCVO website.

Consultation on Resource and Support Hub

Connected with this, DFID is now also seeking views and feedback from potential users of the Hub as they take forward the process to set it up. This ties in with their tendering process which is also about to be launched.

If you would like to respond to the consultation, the survey is online until 27th January.
