Malawian passport renewals

The Malawi High Commission is pleased to inform all Malawians in Scotland that an Immigration Officer will process passport renewals, replacement, and new applications (for children born outside Malawi).

Date: Saturday 2nd September

Venue: The Whiteinch Centre, 1 Northinch Court, Glasgow G14 0UG

Time: 11am to 4:00pm

All Malawians wishing to access the service are encouraged to travel to the passport processing centre on this day.

Please note, that it is the responsibility of the applicant to bring and meet all stipulated requirements, and be present in person for finger print taking and interview to be allowed to process the passport.

The passports will be produced in Malawi. The Immigration Officer will reject incomplete applications. Please note that new applications for passport are only applicable to children born in the United Kingdom. The rest require a copy of their old passport as stipulated.

Applicants who arrive outside the stipulated times will not be entertained.

Requirements for passport processing are:

Passport renewal for Adults and Children over 10 years:

  • Old passport
  • Two passport photos with clear white back ground (size 4.5 x3.5 cm)
  • Marriage/divorce/death certificates for married women who want to change the names
  • Birth certificate and national identity card for those born outside Malawi
  • Fee: £65 (Cash only)
  • For children include copies of their parent’s passports or one parent copy of passport with a written consent from the second parent.

Lost Passport replacement for Adults and Children over 10 years

  • Police report (copy of online report is acceptable)
  • Two passport size photos with clear white background
  • Copies of the lost passport or previous passports
  • Fee: £70 (cash only)

Lost Passport replacement for minors below 10 years

  • Two passport size photos with clear white background
  • Police report
  • Copies of lost passport or previous passports
  • Fee: £60 (cash only)
