This year’s Youth Congress at the McEwan Hall in Edinburgh promises to be our biggest yet!
Taking place on Thursday 28th February with support from the Scottish Government, the University of Edinburgh, Orbis Expeditions and the National Lottery, the 2019 Youth Congress will be a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the heritage and cultural links between young people in Scotland and Malawi.
This year, the Youth Congress is being co-designed with the SMP Youth Committee which represents our youth membership across Scotland and Malawi.
With their wealth of experience in the partnership between Scotland and Malawi, we’re sure that the event will be truly special and unforgettable!
In 2019, we’ll be building on the amazing events held in previous years at venues such as Hampden Park and the Scottish Parliament, using the stunning McEwan Hall at the University of Edinburgh as a backdrop for what promises to be a fantastic day packed with workshops, presentations and interactive sessions.
The event is open to school groups, teachers, or any individual aged between 18-24 who is interested in the link between Scotland and Malawi. If you’re not already signed up as one of our members, why not do it now? It’s free!
If that all sounds too good to miss then fill in one of the forms below to let us know you’d like to come along.
In the meantime, to get a taste for the SMP Youth Congress, why not watch our video of last year’s event.
No, but we’d encourage you to sign up as it’s free for schools and youth members (14-24)
Unfortunately no, you’d need to see if you can get a school group together to come with a teacher.
Not yet! But we’re working on it… We’ll post one on this page as soon as we have one.
Please email Gemma if you’re interested in delivering a workshop or having a stand on the day.
