Join us for our very first schools' forum of the year, taking place at Knightswood Secondary School in Glasgow!
This event is open to all and there's no requirement to be a member of the Scotland Malawi Partnership or have a school partnership to attend, just an interest in finding out more about Global Citizenship, Learning for Sustainability and school partnerships.
Run with support from West of Scotland Development Education Centre (WOSDEC), the Schools' Forum is a great chance to find out more about how to include Learning for Sustainability in a classroom or school!
When: 28th August, 4.30pm-7pm
Where: Knightswood Secondary School
Register: Click here
During the forum, there will be the chance to hear more about organisations in the area that offer support, and an opportunity to work in groups to look at matters related to school partnerships such as the Sustainable Development Goals.
Craig Shields from Knightswood Secondary School will chair the forum and offer some insight into their school partnership with Lunzu Secondary School in Malawi.
Staff from WOSDEC will also speak about their work and will be on hand to offer practical advice on how schools can help promote understanding of global concerns and support active global citizenship, as well as giving information on how to access free resources.
We'll finish off the forum with networking time over Malawian gin, coffee and Fairtrade snacks!
