This can be achieved by creating a budget line that specifically targets the issues we wish to advocate for. I once attended a national budget analysis training where I learned about the importance of packaging our messages. In essence, we need to ensure that our messages are concise and memorable. The goal is to have our messages resonate with policymakers and members of parliament, and sometimes all it takes is two sentences. During the training, we also discussed the importance of having a unified voice within a sector. With so many important issues to address, we must come together and agree on which issues to push for, based on research, to have a greater impact. 01:57:43 Azra Meadows: Are local communities given the opportunity to co-lead projects which can give them sense of ownership of the actual activity and keeps the project a sustainable life? 01:58:55 Tiani: I believe as someone working in the community we have to go back to involve communities once communities are involved the government will follow 02:00:58 Tiani: Replying to "Are local communitie..."
