Mercy Moyo Sibande: The Mamie Martin Fund's Malawi Country Director who will attend in person to meet members and share her passion for supporting girls’ education and female empowerment. The Mamie Martin Fund provides financial support for girls’ education at their partner schools in Malawi.
Susan Dalgety: Advisor to the McConnell International Foundation and SMP Senior Vice Chair: Susan has decades of experience as a champion of the rights of women and girls in Malawi and Scotland. The McConnell International Foundation’s, ‘Keep Girls in School’ initiative supports 200 girls in rural Malawi to access four years of secondary education.
Lindsay Graham: Co-founder, Secretary & Director of The Soko Fund. The Soko Fund supports women from disadvantaged backgrounds in Malawi to access university education. They work in partnership with secondary schools to encourage young women to attend university, provide scholarships and support graduates as they enter the labour market.
The event will highlight initiatives that expand access to education for girls in Malawi and explore the impact of ongoing aid challenges across sub-Saharan Africa.
