SMP Youth Festival 2023

A Celebration of Global Citizenship in the presence of
HRH The Princess Royal
The SMP was thrilled to have hosted our first in-person Youth Festival since 2019!
Young people shared their views, lived experience and heard from others on the theme:
'A Celebration of Global Citizenship - Global challenges, Global responsibility!'
See our Flickr page for videos and pictures of the day (Videographer, Alan Jones) and (Photographer, Kirsty Stroma Photography).
This was an exciting opportunity for SMP Youth & School Members to exchange opinions and share experiences of their vibrant Malawi links, what Global Citizenship means to them and how they live it through their Scotland - Malawi School Partnerships.
We were honoured to receive at the event the SMP's Honorary Co-Patron and Co-President:

HRH Princess Anne

All schools in attendance were given the opportunity to share with HRH Princess Anne a poster presentation about their Malawi partnership, describing its activities and exciting plans.
There were workshops and discussion groups led by dynamic, experienced SMP members and partners for both students and teachers.
