Fundraising MasterClass (Legacies)
Legacies offer an opportunity for supporters of the Scotland Malawi relationship and the specific interventions of SMP members and their partners to contribute to this important work in their wills. Why Legacies?
- 42% of charity members in Scotland say they’d consider a gift in memorial.
- The Scottish charity market for legacies is over £130m per annum (2020-21).
- 60+ % of Scots do not have a will.
Join us for this hybrid Masterclass to learn from experienced Fundraiser, Steve Sloan about the potential for your Scotland-Malawi link to share this opportunity with any of your supporters to whom this is of interest as an enduring legacy.
Steve spoke in the session at the SMP’s 2024 Annual Gathering and his presentation can be viewed here: Fundraising Fundamentals.
Steve has experience of fund-raising at every level, including CEO of a Fund-raising and Marketing Consultancy company serving the needs of over 200 clients from the tiny to International NGOs in the UK, Europe and the USA. His personal targets achieved range from £150 to $42million and everything in-between.
We are very grateful to Steve for leading this Masterclass and to our Hon Co-President, Councillor Jacqueline McLaren, Lord Provost of the City of Glasgow and her Office for hosting the SMP.
