All SMP and MaSP members and their partners were warmly invited to participate in our sixteenth COVID-19 Coordination meeting and combined Health Forum.

On 18th March 2022, the SMP met with members and partners to hear the latest developments on COVID-19 in Malawi. We were joined by Dr Charles Mwansambo, Malawi’s Secretary for Health (slides available HERE), and by Dr Kondwani Jambo, the author of an influential COVID study undertaken by the Malawi-Liverpool-Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Programme. There was also an update on reports of incidences of Polio in Malawi, as well as the opportunity for Q&A and discussion. This meeting was Chaired by Prof Heather Cubie, Chair of the Scotland Malawi Partnership.
