The meeting began with Roundtable introductions, followed by a discussion led by Kondwani on Business & Trade priorities from the Government of Malawi. Alex Sukali, Malawi-UK Business Group Secretary, joined us remotely and gave an introduction to the MUKBG. Joshua, Director of Investment & Facilitation of MITC, also gave a presentation on the priorities and opportunities of MITC.

This was followed by a Q&A with members, and an open discussion on business, trade, investment and tourism. This discussion also specifically highlighted 1) water, irrigation and agriculture; 2) the Scotland-Malawi Investment Fund; 3) Tourism; and 4) Fair Trade.

We closed the meeting with a brief on the SMP's annual Buy Malawian campaign. Members received a report from the 2018 Buy Malawian campaign, and were asked to feed in input into how the SMP should shape next year's 2019 campaign. For those who could not attend the meeting but would still like to feed into these priorities, or for those with additional comments, you can fill out our Survey Monkey HERE. We welcome all input and actively seek steer from our members on how best to drive our Buy Malawian campaigns.
