Earthquake Relief - Karonga District- Malawi
The Malawi High Commission has requested support for those affected by the earthquake on 20 December 2009. Colin Cameron, Hon. Consul for Malawi in Scotland, is coordinating donations from Scotland, with details listed below:
'On Sunday 20th December 2009 the Northern Region of Malawi around Karonga was hit by a severe earthquake high on the Richter Scale. People died, many were injured and over a thousand houses destroyed or damaged. The Malawi Government has appealed for International Help, and this letter is to seek from Scotland support, as it did during the famine period of 2002.
Any donations will be very welcome and cheques made out to

can be sent to me at the above address, or sent direct to the under noted bank
