This event, co-hosted with Christian Aid, will look at the cost of tax evasion to Malawi and other countries supported by the Scottish Government. The event aims to highlight the amount of money being lost to Malawi and other countries that fall under the Scottish Government’s International Development policy through tax evasion, and to initiate debate over measures to address tax evasion practices. Jack McConnell, MSP will be providing the keynote address and other contributions will be made from Christian Aid, Scotland Malawi Partnership members, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and politicians from Westminster and the Scottish Parliament.
