We are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership between the Scotland Malawi Partnership and STA Travel.

We think STA Travel offers fantastic value, great service and invaluable support for those travelling to Malawi, especially groups.  This new partnership will not only help our members tap into these services and opportunities, it will also offer multiple discounts and benefits for SMP members.  And it’s not just for students; it’s open to all members.

As an SMP member, you will now be able to book travel through STA, with:

  • 20% off insurance
  • 10% off transfers/accommodation
  • Free ISIC/IYTC card

Simply use the code STAMALAWI2018 when you get in touch.

STA Travel can also provide students, teachers and young people with one-of-a-kind airfare pricing and unmatched flexibility. For group bookings they have an experienced team of Educational Development Executives, experts in organising safe, secure and exciting trips.

Not only that but STA Travel will kindly donate 15% of all profits from SMP member bookings back to the SMP, to help us further develop the network and support our members' links with Malawi.

David Hope-Jones says:

“We’re delighted to launch this exciting new partnership with STA Travel.  We’ve always been impressed with their support for groups traveling to Malawi, so it’s wonderful to have these additional discounts for our members booking with STA.  Additionally, the 15% investment back in the SMP by STA travel will allow us to diversify our income base and increase the sustainability of the support we offer all our members. ”

Jamie from STA Travel says:

“Here at STA Travel, we have been very impressed with the hard work the SMP and their members have put in to help maintain a strong, sustainable link with the people and organisations of Malawi. They do so with a key emphasis on mutual respect which sees both countries benefit together, something STA are proud to be a part of. We can’t wait to hear from you! Muyende bwino! ”
