The University of Strathclyde's container of books, furniture and equipment has arrived at Mzuzu University, establishing an interim library after the university library was destroyed by fire last December.

Donations came from across Scotland, with many SMP member organisations making contributions.

The container was coordinated and funded by the University of Strathclyde's Malawi Millennium Project, with Norman Wagstaffe personally packing everything up in Glasgow and then unloading in Mzuzu.

Mzuzu University are extremely grateful for the support it has received from Scotland since the fire, especially to the University of Strathclyde which has donated an entire university of furniture and infrastructure, saving the university tens of thousands of pounds.
