Livingstonia University

What is the current situation with Livingstonia University? Has it been accredited by the Ministry of Education?

Does Malawi host any special place for educational activities?

Re: Livingstonia University

What about the standard of medical schools in Malawi. Are there schools that are up to the WHO standard as far as quality of research and medical education is concerned?

Re: Livingstonia University

Since it opened in 1992, 168 doctors have graduated from Malawi's medical school. Before then the country depended on expatriate doctors, medical missionaries, and the uncertain return of its own nationals sent abroad to qualify. On page 384  Robert Broadhead, a founder member of staff and current principal of the school, describes how the problems the school faced during its development have been successfully surmounted.
