SMP Language and Culture Workshops-March 2013 (KB)
The Scotland Malawi Partnership is pleased once again to be hosting a series of language workshops for its members and interested stakeholders. Participants can choose to attend two evenings covering basic language and culture, and/or the full day advanced language event. These will be conducted in Chichewa and there are limited places so please book quickly to avoid disappointment. Workshops are taking place in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
25th February 2013: SMP WASH Forum (KB)
At the last meeting of the SMP Water Forum, forum members voted to broaden the remit of the forum to include hygiene and sanitation. The newly named SMP WASH Forum will next meet on Monday 25th February from 5-7pm at the WaterAid Office at Scottish Water on Balmore Road, Glasgow. This year is the International Year of Water Cooperation, the forum will meet in February to plan how they may contribute towards marking this to the benefit of both Scotland and Malawi. We also hope to be join via Skype by members the WaterAid Malawi team. If you would like to attend please email charlie@scotland-malawipartnership.org.
26th February 2013: SMP Primary and Secondary School Links Forum (KB)
The next meeting of the SMP's Schools Forum will be on 26th February from 5-7pm at the Edinburgh City Chambers. The meeting will offer a chance to meet with other teachers and education professionals with links to Malawi, there will be feedback from the 2012 forum, an opportunity to feed into the revising of the SMP School Partnership Guide and a chance to shape the agenda for the year in terms of events, resources and information that the SMP can deliver that will be of benefit to you, and your partner in Malawi. 17th April 2013: Cross Party Group on Malawi (KB)
The Malawi Cross-Party Group (CPG) at the Scottish Parliament exists to provide an opportunity for Members of all parties, outside organisations and members of the public to meet and discuss Scotlands relationship with Malawi. The Scotland Malawi Partnership provides secretarial support for the group, helps organise the meetings and takes bookings from those wishing to attend. Maureen Watt MSP is the Convener of the group.
23rd April 2013: SMP Gender Equality Forum-"Gender Matters in leadership" (KB)
The next meeting of the SMP Gender Equality Forum will focus on "Gender Matters in leadership." The meeting will take place from 5-7pm, venue TBC.
24th April 2013: SMP Further and Higher Education Forum (KB)
The next meeting of the SMP Further and Higher Education Forum will take place in Glasgow from 2-5pm. Further details to follow.
